Christmas is Coming!

We spent an afternoon at Kluck Nursery last week, learning a lot about how a pinecone seed grows into our family Christmas tree (after many, many years!) Mr. Steve took us through the whole process, from planting to trimming to cutting and wrapping.  It was a great field trip, finished up with a hay ride through the Christmas tree fields, and of course, a famous Kluck's popcorn ball!
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Nothing Sticks Like a Shadow

Our Kinder Friends are studying "what makes a shadow?" this week in science with Ms. Smith. We learned that you need three things to make a shadow:

light
something to block the light
something for the shadow to land on

As part of their investigation, the students found interesting block shapes and traced the shadows onto paper.  They realized that the farther the light is from the subject, the smaller the shadow gets, and the closer the light, the bigger the shadow!

We just get smarter and smarter, every day!!!

Gobble Til You Wobble!

Special Friends Day was so much fun!  First, we had an amazing worship service.  Our church was filled with students, family, and friends.  What a great start to a great morning!

After church, we gathered in our classrooms to work on crafts with our Special Friends.  Miss Smith had the cutest craft idea, and we all made turkey hats with all of the things we are thankful for written on the feathers!

When craft time was over, we all moved into the narthex for donuts, juice and fellowship, before saying our goodbyes.  Thank you so much to everyone who came to spend time with their student!  During this Thanksgiving season, we are SO thankful for all of the people in our lives who love us, support us, and pray for us!

Now, check out these CUTE TURKEYS!!!!!
