The Wedding of Q and U

We had such a good time making it "official" with the Letters Q and U this week!  They're always together, so we decided it was time that they tied the knot.  I mean, the only time I've seen them apart is the time Q was in IRAQ!  LOL!

Here are the "professional" photographs of our celebration of love.  The girls dressed as Queens and the boys dressed as Quarterbacks.  Enjoy!

Here comes the bride (and groom.)
The ceremony was well attended!  See the "Shusher."  She kept everyone QUIET.
 Mrs. Gallegos was the officiant.

 They said, "I do!"
 The first kiss, of course.
Cake and punch were served to the guests.
The vowels were in attendance to support their friend, "U."
This queen is looking quite cute!
 Another lovely queen.
 And another...
Who loves cake?  ME!!!
 Handsome quarterbacks enjoying their cake.
This vowel was sad when it was all over.

Then, they were off on their honeymoon to Quebec!

Down on the Farm!

We spent a great morning at LeCronier's Baby Acres farm this week.  The rain held off, and we were able to take a hay ride through the fields, meet and hold several brand new animal babies, and then feed them from our own hands!  It was a great experience for everyone, and we are still talking about it!

Springtime Visitors

We had some special visitors to Kindergarten last week!  Mr. Herzberger (grandfather to the Herzbergers)  brought in four baby ducks and three baby chickens!!  It was so exciting to hold them and pet them, and watch them run around on the blanket.  Several friends who were very nervous at first, became brave duck/chick wranglers by the time the visit was over!

He's Baaaaack!

So, by now you have probably heard...Our school leprechaun, Darby O'Gil, has made his return for the month of March!  Every year, the little guy shows up in the beginning of March, and stays until St. Patrick's Day, to cause havoc in our classrooms!  This year, I thought I was ready for him.  I bought the Lucky Charms to use in our leprechaun trap, and kept them closed and hidden behind my desk.  Low and behold, we walk into the room the other morning and this is what we found!  He's baaaack!

Today we all had shamrocks inside our shoes when we returned from PE class!!!  What next??  Stay tuned.
