Dr. Jill Visits!

Our favorite Bethlehem doctor paid us a visit this semester!  Dr. Jill Paveglio came with her doctor bag to show us all of the tools she uses to perform her work.  We really enjoyed our Q&A with her, and then she let us try all of her doctor equipment!  We are so blessed to have her as a Bethlehem alumnus, and a Bethlehem parent.

Thanks Dr. Jill, and thank you so much for the awesome See Inside Your Body book you left for our classroom!  Who knows?  There might be some future doctors in our very own Kindergarten class!!  

Practicing for First Grade!

We have been having so much fun in Kindergarten!  Since the 100th Day of School, we have celebrated Valentine's Day, traveled to the Temple Theater to see Pete the Cat, participated in Motor Development Day at SVSU, two of our friends were part of a special chapel service, and now we are celebrating Lutheran Schools Week!  Whew!  I'm exhausted just recalling it all!

Here are a few pictures of all of our adventures!  I'm also proud to say that several friends have recently mastered tying their shoes, and most of us have moved at least to the First Grade sight words list!  We are practicing for First Grade!!!

100 Days Smarter!

It's hard to believe that we have already spent 100 days together in Kindergarten.  Time sure does fly when you're having fun!  We celebrated the 100th Day of School with a whole bunch of fun activities.  We started the day by counting all the way to 100.   We counted by tens to 100 to put together a line of unified cubes that was 100 cubes long.  It was easy for us this year, because we have 10 friends in Kindergarten (10x10=100!)  Then, we used our "thinking brains" and predicted how far 100 steps would take us from the door of our classroom.  We marked our 100 steps with a collage of our feet on the wall (look for it when you come in!)

 Zero the Hero came to visit us, too!!!
