Happy New Year!

We are back into the swing of Kindergarten this week.  The last few weeks of 2019 were so busy and crazy, so it is nice to be back to a normal schedule, knowing what to expect!  We have started working on our last names in handwriting, and it has been funny to hear the chit chat about how some people have only three letters in their last name, and some have TWELVE!  Lots of "no fairs" flying around LOL!!  Everyone agrees that our favorite end-of-the-year activity was bowling!  Here's a few of our shared memories.  Thanks to Mrs. Duclos, for teaching us the skills and then taking us to the lanes!!

SAVE THE TURKEYS!

SAVE THE TURKEYS!! is the slogan of the week in Kindergarten!  We have cleverly disguised our turkey friends, so the farmers can't find them for Thanksgiving.  Check out our imaginative and often elaborate costumes!!  What a hoot!  They'll NEVER find them now!!!  LOL

And, We're Off!!!

The first few weeks have been a blur in Kindergarten, but a fun and exciting blur!!  We have finally relaxed and are settling in to a routine.  So far, our favorite activities are the times when we get to pick social centers, manipulatives, STEAMwork, etc.  It is a great treat watching our Kinder Friends explore the various counting, sorting, building, imagination, and drawing items that we have in our classroom!  Here are a few examples of our free time work and play.

Fun on the Farm!

We are wrapping up our year in Kindergarten, but the fun continues until the very last day!  We spent a great afternoon at LeCronier's Baby Acres on Friday, and haven't stopped talking about it since.  I'm quite sure that a lot of birthday and Christmas lists will include bunnies and kittens after that visit!!  LOL
